We are now onsite at the conference! If you have any questions please contact Charlotte on 027 338 7992.

Welcome to the 2018 New Zealand Rural General Practice Network's National Rural Health Conference website.

Auckland's Pullman will host the conference from  5 – 8 April. The theme is "Healthy Rural Communities – Mauri Ora, Whanau Ora, Wai Ora".

An array of preconference workshops on Thursday 5 April, herald the event's commencement followed by keynote and concurrent sessions and exhibition/trade days on Friday 6 April and Saturday 7 April, culminating in members' breakfasts and political sessions on Sunday 8 April.

There is an exciting line-up of nine keynote sessions and six concurrent session streams covering medical and nursing, management, research, rural hospital, community/models of care and student presentations over the two main conference days.

Visit the programme tab on this page for more details.

The NZRGPN National Rural Health Conference 2018 has been endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP) and has been approved for up to 20.5 CME credits for the General Practice Educational Programme (GPEP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.

A range of social activities including an official Welcome Function, Gala Dinner, Doctors' and Nurses' Dinner and student function, as well as casual networking opportunities are on offer.

The awards' ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Conference Dinner at the Pullman on Saturday evening, when accolades including the Peter Snow Memorial Award, division of rural hospital medicine NZ fellowships and the practice of the year as voted by the community, will be presented.

The conference will be held in association with the New Zealand Rural Hospital Network and the Rural Health Alliance Aotearoa New Zealand.

On behalf of the 2018 conference organising committee, I invite you to attend this exciting event and be part of an annual celebration of rural primary health care. We look forward to seeing you in Auckland in April 2018.
