Kiyomi is a GP and Director/Shareholder of Carefirst Group in Taranaki. She is also the Deputy Chair of Pinnacle Incorporated Executive Committee.
Kiyomi is Sansei (third generation) Japanese-Canadian. She grew up in BC, Canada and moved to New Zealand at the age of 21 to study medicine at the University of Otago, graduating in 2010. Her father is Japanese-Canadian and her mother is New Zealand European from Ngāruawāhia. Kiyomi and her husband have four young children who all keep her well and truly on her toes.
Kiyomi is passionate about climate action and the undeniable interconnectedness of te taioa and hauora. This passion drives her involvement at community, GP practice, business and system level to promote positive change.
