Tongan Health Society is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the RNZCGP Conference, bringing a Pacific-led perspective to the future of general practice in Aotearoa.
Tongan Health Society is a leading innovator in primary and community healthcare, delivering an award-winning, integrated model of care that is helping redefine health outcomes for Pacific communities across Tāmaki Makaurau.
Through its Langimālie Integrated Family Health Centres, Tongan Health combines general practice with mental health, social services, youth development, health navigation, education, community outreach, and research. This reflects a deep understanding that lasting wellbeing is shaped not only by clinical care, but also by family, culture, housing, education, income, connection, and trust.
Grounded in Whānau Ora principles, Tongan Health works alongside individuals and families to provide care that is accessible, culturally responsive, clinically sound, and outcomes-focused. Its model brings together clinical and non-clinical teams to address health need, reduce barriers to care, and support families to achieve their broader aspirations.
Recognised for quality, innovation, and service excellence, Tongan Health continues to contribute to the advancement of Pacific health through integrated care, workforce development, community partnership, and research. Its Langimālie Research Centre further strengthens this commitment by supporting Pacific-focused research that responds to the health priorities of the communities it serves.
As a teaching and learning environment, Tongan Health also provides health professionals with the opportunity to practise medicine in a collaborative, culturally grounded, and innovative setting where they can make a tangible difference to the wellbeing of communities.
Tongan Health Society exemplifies the future of primary care: connected, community-led, evidence-informed, culturally anchored, and focused on achieving better outcomes for those who need them most.
The Cause Collective (TCC) is a New Zealand charitable organisation that operates out of Manukau City, South Auckland. The organisation was founded in 2016 and has evolved over the years to have a focus on addressing complex problems by creating the conditions for Pacific peoples and South Auckland communities to thrive.
This is achieved by working upstream to address the causes of problems and by strengthening prevention systems. One of TCC’s functions is as a Primary Health Organisation (PHO), providing primary health services through our clinical network, or sometimes through the direct delivery of prevention or early intervention services. TCC remains the only Pacific-led PHO in Aotearoa New Zealand and has over 127,000 patients amongst a network of 44 general practice clinics across Auckland.
