The Cause Collective (TCC) is a New Zealand charitable organisation that operates out of Manukau City, South Auckland. The organisation was founded in 2016 and has evolved over the years to have a focus on addressing complex problems by creating the conditions for Pacific peoples and South Auckland communities to thrive.
This is achieved by working upstream to address the causes of problems and by strengthening prevention systems. One of TCC’s functions is as a Primary Health Organisation (PHO), providing primary health services through our clinical network, or sometimes through the direct delivery of prevention or early intervention services. TCC remains the only Pacific-led PHO in Aotearoa New Zealand and has over 127,000 patients amongst a network of 44 general practice clinics across Auckland.
General Practice New Zealand provides leadership, advocacy and voice for primary care. Our membership encompasses 25 of Aotearoa’s 30 Primary Health Organisations (PHOs), covering an enrolled population of more than 4.25 million New Zealanders, including more than 80 per cent of the enrolled Māori population.
Our mission is to connect primary and community care to shape the future of hauora and achieve health equity.
Our vision is a health and care system that supports all people to live well in their communities, delivers best possible care where and when people need it, and will be there for future generations.
To align with organisational goals, we’ll soon be changing our name to Primary Care New Zealand. This name reflects who and what we are about, and gives room to grow and support a wide range of health and care professionals providing comprehensive primary care services that ultimately will deliver pae ora for the people of Aotearoa New Zealand.
